I am a Professor of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University. I teach courses on social work practice, professional ethics, forensic practice, addictions, pedagogy, and conflict resolution. I also conduct professional continuing education courses for social workers and other mental health professionals.

I conduct family mediation and work with community organizations to develop more effective conflict resolution structures and skills. I am a former Chair of the National Association of Social Workers' National Ethics Committee and a former President of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation.

I develop educational materials and conduct research in the areas of social work ethics, conflict resolution, social justice, and forensic social work. I have also acted as a forensic consultant for attorneys in malpractice cases.
